After 15 years of diligently paying my premiums, I experienced something that I needed to share with others. From a general 15% increase my premium would jump to must more than 15%. This came as a huge shock to me as well as to my finances. Their reason was that after 1st policy review, they only guaranteed for 5 years (something I did not notice when I signed up), however, part of their answer was premium increases are aligned to the current inflationary environment and also due to the volume of claims received. How do you hold me responsible for the risk factor that I undertook with you while you as an insurance company also take risks to offer these policies? Unfortunately, I am a pensioner and have committed to this life policy, so cancellation is out of the question. I would like to warn other clients of any policies to read and possibly discuss these loopholes found in some policies with their respective Insurers. For me, I am irate at the scrupulous behavior afforded by financial institutions like insurance companies. Be aware of 1life!
