Beware of 1 life policies.

I have a life and disability policy with the company that I have been paying for 10 years. My health has deteriorated and necessitated me to put in a claim for disability. As u first have to register a claim , I attempted numerous times within a period of 30 days to call them, sent emails , etc.The claims personnel are rude , have no patience with phone lines being bad and hard to hear on calls not clear.They drop the call, do not bother to call back and say the line is bad everytime i call.This seems to me to be deliberate on their part so clients cannot register claims , and get so fed up and frustrated that they cancel the policy as I have.Nice way to make money. This is the poorest client service I have ever experienced. Very strange , that when I called them to cancel my policy , the best they could do to try and convince me was to mail me my policy schedule.Their bussiness must be doing extremely well as they had no interest or urgency in trying to resolve my problem to keep me as a client...When i called again to cancel the policy today , the person who took my call could hear me very well.I assume they all work in the same building. It seems as long as you pay there are no problems.But try and claim and you have to jump through hoops..biggest waste of money spent. I would not recommend anyone to buy life insurance from 1 life. It would have been better for me to have put the money in a savings account every month , as I have lost about 20 000. Thankyou.
