1life life cover

I have a life Policy with 1Life for about 3 hrs which I took while I still working, I contacted them to inform them that I want to surrender it , I was told they don't have that , if I stop paying I will forfeit all the money I have been paying all along. My question is what kind of a life cover is this ?they couldn't tell me , it didn't that all the life covers are the same in SA
