1life insurance not to be trusted.

I'm angry with 1LIFE insurance, I've joined them in 2021 and I covered my dad which he was originally from Mozambique however relocated to South Africa for over 40 years..

In December 2024 my dad passed on I submitted all documents they wanted, they did not give me an update I was the one who was always calling to get an update..

Eventually they answered saying the claim was declined due to the fact that he was an ******* immigrant, how so as he was married to my mom from 1995.

My problem is my sister also had insurance with two different companies and we submitted the same documents, both the insurance paid my sister without any hustle however 1LIFE insurance declined my claim for what I'm still puzzled..

Wanted them to pay back my money from the time I started with them to date as they could not help me when I needed it the most but they still declined.

I ended up increasing one of my loans so I can contribute with the funeral arrangements, I'm left alone with paying a loan with interest where else I had insurance where I covered my dad....
