Super impressed at the service 1Life provided for my family and trust me there are no empty promises here. My mom passed away in January and we submitted a claim for her life cover policy in February and it was processed and finalized in just 3 weeks because my mom was as fit as a fiddle and didn't have a long medical history for them to assess. What most clients don't understand is, if the insured had a long medical history 1Life gets assessors to verify the medical history so if the insured was frequently visiting doctors and being constantly admitted at the hospital, they have to call each doctor to confirm, was this person really sick and what were the issues and so on and if the doctor's story and your story (the claimant) checks out then you get the payout. So if what you provide to them does not check out with doctors or hospitals, unfortunately, the process will take longer. Try to get the accurate documents and be patient because it is different from a funeral cover which pays out much quicker. Like any other insurance company they have to investigate if there was no foul play but eventually, the job gets done!!!
