Worst landlord 16 Engelbrecht street, Glen Marais

I'm renting the cottage on 16 Engelbrecht street, Glen Marais, Kempton Park.

Upon looking at the cottage, the owner, his mother, my father and myself were present.

We agree to go into a contract to rent the cottage and I paid my Deposit over well in advance.

The owner agreed to install washing machine connections and drainage before I move in, which wasn't done upon my occupation. He told me to go ahead get it done and subtract it from the rent.

The place stood empty for 6 months, and was absolutely filthy. It cost me 2 days of scrubbing and cleaning. While cleaning the flat I pushed a whole through the kitchen top at the basin. The whole kitchen top was rotten. The sliding door could not lock and the rollers was totally worn out. I discusse with the owner that those items also needs to be replaced. The message that I got from him was that he agrees and I can go ahead and repair. We agreed that I will deduct the cost over 3 months from the rent.

One and a half month into my rent he want to put me out on the street, because I don't pay full rent. To date I still didn't receive my rental agreement, but he is constantly in my face and don't respect my privacy. Alway in constant fighting mode, shouting and screaming.

Blaming me and the poor garden boy of *****ing stuff.

To date I still didn't get my lock up garage as promised, the garden doesn't get maintained. He started a compost heap right next to my bedroom wall.

He isn't open to any conversation what so ever.

If you ever think that this cottage is going to be your peach and quite place, think again.

The landlord is rude, arrogant and sometimes gets violent.

He even called the police one time telling them that I invited friends over to insults him. Sick if you ask me
