Bad Experience

Before you read on, I would like to give a definition for "Thought Process". In this instance it means " The amount of money spent on the service we received from 10 Degrees Apartments, Sandton."

The reason I write this column, is because I am extremely upset by the low level of service we received from 10 Degrees Apartments, Short Road, Sandton.

I have stayed here on two occasions. First time for a week, the second time for two weeks.

On arrival, I thought "Oh wow, this is very nice; must be expensive. " Now I ask myself "Why the **** do people pay for this ****?"

The reason for my question, stems from several annoying and upsetting experiences which did not live up to my "Thought Process", and which go as follows:

1. These are self service apartments, so all I need to bring is myself and my clothes (as far as I thought. Lol!)

2. So, we found that there were not enough pots, or big enough pots to cook a meal. So we had to ask for another pot on more than one occasion, depending on the meal.

3. Im not in the hotel business, but I've never had my room/apartment cleaned only after 1pm everyday.

4. The fridge in the apartment was not working. Not sure how you check people into such an apartment, and they have to report this to you. 5. The second time I stayed there, we were moved from one apartment to another because we made too much noise one Thursday night. The Friday we moved to an apartment where the fridge was not working and only got replaced on a Tuesday afternoon around 5pm CAT. We spent 5 days without a fridge. Due to this we had meat and fresh vegetables we had to throw out. We did not get any form of apology, discount or explanation. In additionto this, there was no kettle. We were given the staff kettle to use and there were not a full set of pots or a chopping board.

6. As previously mentioned, our new apartment was also not serviced and cleaned until after 12pm every single day.

7. After the noise incident, the following morning my friend told me that the security at the front desk said that he would remove "Her", referring to me Elaine, if there was any noise again. Imagine my shock, but I let it go.

8. My friends mother googled the apartments and found that they have a steam room. So we decided yaaaaay lets go to rhe steam room! Only to be told by the front desk security that it does not work. I asked how long it has not been working, and when it will be working, andI got no answer to these questions. I think this is false advertising period. Highlight on ur website that this particular feature is either out of order or under maintenance.

At this point I can continue with other incidents that occured, but I will end it here.
