Unsanitary dirty hotel room with bad service
I made a booking for my son checking in the 26 December 2025 and out the 5th January 2026 On arrival my son found a very disorganised check in system and no parking as promised for his car, and then discovered a very filthy unsanitary room, their first question was where is the duvet which the staff then claimed the so called blanket on the bed was a duvet, they then proceeded to look under this so called duvet as the bed looked very unmade. The sheets were stained yellow and had a manky smell, as well as being covered in hair – it looked like the bed had just been slept in and then quickly made by someone. The kitchen was disguising with stained counters, crockery and ****roaches, the furniture was broken and the room was basically in no state for anyone to stay in, never mind Somone who has paid to do so. They complained to reception without much luck of anything being resolved. We found alternative accommodation ( extra money spent) for the night and were told the issue would be sorted out – on arriving there the following morning the room was in the exact same state as the day before. Nothing had been done. The staff were exceptionally rude and tried to get my kids to leave and refused to give them anyone important info – I have complained to bookings.com and am awaiting a refund which the hotel has agreed to verbally but will not put it in writing. They are now ignoring me and seem to have blocked my emails and calls. I have tried all avenues to get hold of Someone who can help with no luck, no one seems to care about the state of the hotel. I would like to know if anyone working at the hotel would themselves have slept in that bed?
