| My 2 year old received a pair of Spiderman shoes for his birthday from a relative. They did not fit and the relative was out of town for more than a month, but on her return, she and I went to exchange the shoes at Woolworths Canal Walk, with the slip. When we explained our predicament to the sales lady, she informed us that this was a sale item, and it cannot be exchanged. For 2 reasons: it was purchased more than a month ago and 2) because it was a sale item, the value it now had on the Woolworths system is 1 cents!!!! I had a huge argument with the manager on duty and he was most unhelpful and just repeated what the sales lady had told me. So, even though I had a pair of shoes bought at their store, with the tag still on it, in perfect condition, with the slip to prove it, i took more than a month to return it so therefore it was valued at one cents to them, even though thats not what we paid for it!!! I know of someone who returned shoes to Woolworths after wearing it for a year, and getting it exchanged for a new pair ! And they could do nothing for me. Bottom line, Woolworths is sitting with our money, and I'm sitting with a pair of shoes for which I have no use! Pathetic. | |||
