It's disgusting how Woolies on - Beyers Naude -Randpark ridge treated me. Yesterday I went shopping using my husband's card - without him, something I had done numerous times at the very same shop and other Woolies around Joburg. Something that hadn't been a problem until yesterday unfortunately. I was told I couldn't use the card since the card holder wasn't present. The store manager Patricia was so rude to me, as I was asking why and when did this policy change. She told me the policy has always been that way. Then I asked her how come I have been able to use my husband's card in that very same shop and all the other Woolies around. My argument was, if that was the case, why the customers weren't warned...or put up the policy or something... she gave me attitude and she was rude. White ladies use their husband's cards frequently, so apparently the policy doesn't apply to them, only to the black customers.. or maybe it was my lucky day... How black customers are treated by their black staff is ridiculous, and rather offensive to hard working citizens. I mean this Patricia woman looked at me as though I was a *****. |
