On Saturday evening Woolworths closed their doors at approx 20h50. As far as I am aware the closing times of all shops at Canal Walk are 21h00. This does not seem like a big deal,however it is important when one has driven all the way to Canal Walk and paid parking and done a lot of shopping and it takes long to get from one end of Canal Walk to the other end and one just needs to get in there very quickly to for example get something from the foodmarket (.i.e. not planning to try on all the clothing). I was not the only customer who was not let inside....there were others' trying to get in as well. I asked the security lady whether I could speak to a manager and she said the manager was not there. She also said that that is the clock that they always use at Woolworths and that was the time she had been told to close the doors. I think if this is happening then Woolworths should in the future make it public knowledge that their doors close at 20h50. Because while the rules are still that closing time is 21h00, then customers are entitled to be irritated by this. Thank you! |
