I took out vehicle finance with wesbank around 7 months ago, at the being of December I switched banks from standard bank to FNB, I requested FNB to switch my debit order for the car. I received notification from FNB that wesbank had been notified of the switch request around the 20th. On the 25th (when the debit order is supposed trigger), it did not. This is understandable as it was Christmas. However I was concerned that the debit order had been switched and I had not been notified, and as such had not move the funds across to the FNB account. On the 27th (when it still had not triggered) I called wesbank to ask on which account the debit order was supposed to have triggered. I was informed they had moved the debit order to FNB (which I had not been informed of), and that the application was past a cut off line and the order was to trigger on the 29th off the standard bank account. On the 30th it still had not triggered, I called and was informed that it had tried to go off on the FNB account and that I now had a late payment against my name. I am furious at the lack of communication to me and furthermore the fact that I was given the incorrect information. |
