My phone was soft locked, due to unpaid balance. I was at fault and should have called in to make an arrangement with vodacom - but was embarrassed and didn't know when I would be paid by my company so had no way of letting vodacom know when the payment would be made. On the 27th January my phone was locked, and with my husband out of the country and no money in the bank - I started to panic about how I would be able to get hold of him or vice-verse. I called the customer care, and when I explained my situation to Ashwin, he explained to me that if I had called in they would have made an arrangement for me, and my number would have remained unlocked. He asked me when the soonest was that I would be able to pay the bill in arrears, and we made an agreement that I would pay the money in arrears by a certain date. Ashwin assured me my line would be unlocked in an hour from when we spoke. Thank you Ashwin for listening and caring - even though I was at fault... I will not hesitate to call Vodacom customer care if I have any issues in future. |
