| I bought a Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 from the Vodacom Data Shop in Canal Walk. At the time, the tablet was being sold on a Topup 135 contract. Since this tablet cannot make phone calls the salesman assured me that all the airtime on the contract could be converted into data. I have since been buying data on the [URL Removed] website, but the cost of the data bundles have been added to my bill instead of coming out of the 135 airtime allocation. When I spoke to the call centre today, the agent told me that the website has no functionality to do the conversion of airtime into data, and that it would also add it on. she advised me to dial *111# to do the conversion. Unfortunately, my tablet doesn't have a dialer because it cannot make phone calls... so he advice to me was to remove my sim card from the tablet, insert it into a phone, do the airtime to data conversion and then put the sim backin my tablet. Because data bundles are only valid for 2 months, I would have to do this every other month at least. If I had known this at the time of purchase I would NEVER have bought this tablet! | |||
