No promised feedback

I have had cellphone contract with Vodacom for a certain period of time. I upgraded about a month prior to the end of the first 24 month contract. On 6 October 2011 at 8:22 I phone the called centre and spoke to Tembi and informed her that I want to give a months notice to cancel my contract. She then informed me that my contract will only come to an end at the end November. I specifically asked the lady if I will still be charged the discounted rate for the time that they are now forcing me to continue with the contract, in fact I asked her 2x and she assured me that I would and that my contract will move to a pre-paid version on 1 Dec 2011.
On 1 Dec I was billed the full amount for the contract and when I phoned the call centre and spent more than 30 min on the phone (fail to recall the gentleman's name). He than told me that my cancellation was nevery received or loaded. I insisted that they charge me the discounted rate as confirmed by Tembi on 3 October and he said they would refund me the money. 3 January I was billed the full amount again. Still waiting for feedback from Devon to whom I spoke on 4 Jan at 8h30, another 30 min on the phone wasted. Pathetic service!

Hello Louana,

We apologies for the delay in our response and I would like to take this opportunity to express our sincerest apologies for any inconvenience that you may have experienced.

We have received feedback from our Accounts Department that they have concluded their investigation and the discount was valid for 24 months only and the period was from November 2009 to October 2011.

Due to the above no refund is due.
