| I got my blackberry bold on the 8th Dec 2011. It has given me a lot of trouble. Its battery life is shocking. I have turned off all the applications that us a lot of power. It cuts me off when I am speaking on the phone and a message 'restore connections' comes up.The battery overheats The last straw- It now doesn't charge. I took it in to the Vodacom Care shop in Somerset west ,Main Road-got excellent service there- they tested the battery and the charger, checked the software and had to send it away . It will take 7-14 days to repair. I cant believe it. The store was kind enough to give me a loan phone- one which only smses and calls- I need a smartphone- thats why I have one in the first place. How will I conduct my business for the next 14 days? I f want a new phone- how can a phone be faulty after 6 weeks. I have been using blackberry since 2008. I am really fed up. | |||

Hello rmarshall, Please accept my sincere apology for the inconvenience caused in this regard. Vodacom repair branches offer loan units as a courtesy to customers and this is subject to availability. In general, loan units will be an entry level device which is provided for use during the repair/assessment period. I have requested that the Head Office expedite your repair. | Quite Impressed: Vodacom responded relatively quickly to my complaint. I can go into a store and get a new phone today. | |||
