Impossible to find an iPhone

I have been trying to locate an iPhone 64G as I require a replacement for my current 3G iphone. My husband also put in a request 18th Dec. I have phoned Vodacom upgrade and numerous stores (about 60!). Everyone is out of stock and they don't know when they are getting more stock in. Must I phone all these stores again EVERY week in case someone has one in stock? The waiting list does not seem to work and don't believe anyone will get back to me due to the high demand which is clearly evident.
I phoned the upgrades department only to be told to rather phone around as they do not know when stock will be coming in.
This is unacceptable, someone should know what the stock situation is!

Over the Moon: I was contacted with 72 hours of my report - I now have the iPhone I have been trying to get. Vodacom came to party and provided excellent service.
