| HEADLINE | Galaxy Repair within first three months (CPA???) |
Last year end November I upgraded my contract to a Samsung Galaxy S Plus which in my opinion was a pretty decent offer. From day one however, it kept failing to send SMSses every now and then. It would typicall send 3, then fail on the next 10, then send 1, then fail on another 20. I phoned Vodacom Customer Service who recommended that I take the handset to a Service Centre. I booked the unit in at Vodaworld last Thursday (2012/01/26) which is a mere two months since the initial upgrade, only to be told that the handset cannot be repaired on site and needs to be sent to a third party for repairs which will take 7 days??? And this on a handset that's only two months old?! Doesn't the CPA warrant a replacement or cancellation within the first three months..? Vodacom suggests NO. I have been the most loyal Vodacom supporter since my first contract. I would appreciate the same loyalty in return by at least allowing me to cancel my current contract and opting for another, better device on it's relevant contract... |

Quite Impressed:
I phoned Vodacom prior to posting and they said it would take 7 days. Five minutes after posting, my device was marked ready for collection... Now why can't that be the service I receive from the start..? Thanks! |
