no phone but pay full contract

I got a contract with Virgin Mobile on the 11/9/2011 that includes a blackberry 8520 but was faulty from day one and every time I go to the shop they sent me home to phone or do something (they didn't help me to sort out the problem). I eventually got tired battling with it and took it in on the 24/11/2011 to be sent in for "upgrade of software they said".... Just before Christmas 2011 I went to Virgin mobile at the Pavilion to follow up because it's been a month; I got the news that they have to replace my phone on the 3 Jan when the company opens.
It's the 13/01/2012 I still don't have a phone and still waiting!! Ever time I phone they say they don't have any stock, I want to cancel my contract and I am not going to pay the balance because I don't have a phone they are breaking there side of the contract and I am not happy with the service I get from Virgin Mobile.
What are my options and what can I do about this?

Virgin Mobile in the Pavilion phoned me on the tuesday 17.01.2012 to fetch a new phone. Its just so sad to report them before they sort this matter out
