Virgin Active & Sanlam Reality: No Rebate!

I am super upset (putting it mildly). I joined Virgin Active last year end of October with the Sanlam Reality benefit (which is 15% off the gym fees) because I'm at Bestmed, and I get a rebate (R300 back) if I go to gym 12 times or more a month. First let me say that the sales person at Virgin told me REPEATEDLY that there's nothing else I needed to do after I signed the contract. I've been waiting for my rebate since last year Oct. Yesterday I contacted Sanlam Reality and they let me know I needed to fill in a Reality Form AND register on the R169 p/m option. ***?! Virgin told me everything's included in my contract! And I will only receive rebates as from next month. What the heck am I to do now? I cannot afford R410 p/m! If this is not resolved (thus someone repaying me the rebates I earned) I will have to end my contract and go to the newspapers to tell unsuspecting clients about this ***** from Virgin Active and Sanlam Reality. Also, raising the contract fees (the "option" I was on was supposedly "discontinued") within the FIRST year of signing the contract, as well as not informing me of this beforehand, is a breach of contract! Your ethics and communication ****!

I apologise that you were given incorrect information when joining Virgin Active.

As discussed your membership is still currently reflecting as active through Sanlam Reality.

I will investigate your entire membership and all current details and then call you on Monday with a resolution and how I am able to assist.

Utterly Disgusted: At first I was quite happy with the quick response (on the same day I posted the report). But Chanelle never phoned me back on Monday as promised, Reality still wants me to sign up and pay extra and nothing has been resolved. I have too much other expenses to cover. I'm severely disappointed in both Virgin Active and Sanlam Reality's communication and customer service. Since my first report has not been ignored, I will post a new one...
