| I was approached by the sales consultant for a membership and I scheduled for a meeting with the consultant at the Virgin Active in Milpark with the required documents and my banking details on a Saturday. Then I was advised that I will be getting a Virgin Active bag with a towel because of that benefit I was looking forward to joining that particular gym even with the gym membership that I have at work. I had an option of going to the Virgin Active at Maponya Mall because of Logistics issues. But I opted against it because of the free bag that I promised in 2 weeks from the time I signed up at the gym. To top it all off the Sales Consultant gave misleading information so that she can get a better gym membership from me. Cindy said that "If I take the contract for 1 year then I cannot enjoy the benefits of anytime of day whilst with the 2 year contract I can enjoy the benefits of having the access to the gym at anytime of the week" So under that misguidance I took the contract for 2 years!!!!! Now I am stuck with a contract that I did not fully get proper advise on. This is the pathetic with a good brand like Virgin which I love when incompetence will be the demise of it! So beware | |||

Hello blessingp, Thank you very much for chatting to me, I apologise that you were given incorrect information upon signing your contract with Virgin Active. As discussed we can change your membership to 12 month product but this will mean an increase in your monthly rate. I believe you asked the Club General Manager to contact you this afternoon in order to make a final decision regarding your contractual period. We did not have a bag on offer during the month of January and I apologise if this was promised to you, the Club General Manger will investigate this matter for you. Kind regards, Chanelle |
