| HEADLINE | Handbag stolen from locked locker! |

| On Monday 9th January my handbag was stolen from my LOCKED locker at Virgin Active Claremont, Cape Town. I've since heard that ***** at #VIRGINACTIVE gyms nationally is out of control. Over 20 a thefts a month reported at Century City gym. A friend of mine had to chase people as at VA Rivonia Rd, they'd broken into her locker while she was showering... Virgin Active do not care, the head office do NOTHING about it, I haven't even had a follow up call as promised from their insurance company or anyone at the office. They did mention I should make use of the teeny tiny lockers outside the change rooms as they are monitored by cameras... Sadly my handbag does not fit into that space, emptying the contents is wasting time/effort and my handbag itself is valuable. Got told to leave it in my car! Well great help when car break-ins are high on the list of crime! I would also require two locks, one for valuables locker and one for the big lockers in the change room which only take a tiny lock anyway as the hole for the lock is so small. ***** is not acceptable, and VA need to take responsibility! It's happening too often - disgrace no one has bothered to contact me! I expect a response. | |||

As discussed I will ensure that feedback is sent to you by our Insurance Company as the claim was submitted to them and the final decision regarding the claim lies with them. I can assure you that Virgin Active has your best interests at heart and we are always looking for additional ways to protect our members and their belongings and the figures mentioned above are not correct.
