What is your exchange Policy Truworths???? This is my Experience: I got given a present from Truworths for Christmas. It did not fit, so I went on Sunday to the Sandton Truworths to exchange it (It still has ALL the labels on). I was asked by 2 employers at the till how the gift giver paid for the gift?? ITS A GIFT YOU DONT ASK THOSE TYPES OF QUESTIONS. After I explained to the "intelligent" staff behind the till that I was not entirely sure how the gift was purchased, I was then ushered to the 3rd person the "manager" who again asked me the exact same question. By this stage I had been in the store for 20 mins and had SIMPLY wanted to exchange a top for another top. To my absolute shock and horror I was then told that unless I could locate the receipt I would not be able to exchange the garment. As far as I am concerend this is ludicris, it was a gift, you dont ask the gift giver for the receipt in order for you to exchange it.. Before I walked into this nightmare, I had gone to woolworths to exchange a gift (again with all the labels on it) I was given a gift card to the value of the gift and NO RECEIPT. Kindly explain how this is possible??? |

Our Returns Policy allows customers to return goods for a refund or exchange within 30 days of purchase provided that the docket is retained as proof of purchase; the swing ticket is attached; the item has not been worn and is in its original condition. In the case of a gift being returned, we accept a gift receipt that is available at the time that the purchase is made. This allows for an effortless exchange. We realise that you were inconvenienced and we sincerely hope that this response assists you in understanding why our stores were not able to assist you in the manner that you would have liked. You are welcome to return to the store if you obtain some proof of purchase or information of the person who purchased the gift so that we can try to assist you in accordance with our Returns Policy.
