I'm a trainee accountant at a well respected Firm. We have a strict policy on professional business attire. I fell in love with Truworths' smart wear and decided to open an account and so become an even more loyal customer. Application went smooth - providing personal details, salary and expenses etc. Teller hands me the agreement to sign and in black in white it states my credit limit: a mere, pathetic R550. Shocked and disgusted I asked the teller and the gentleman from Head office (on the phone) whether they know what their clothing actually cost? I might as well stick to cash. I was told the system calculated the limit based on my application info but the person on the phone could not tell me what caused the calculated limit being so low. And that I'd only be subject to an increase after 6 MONTHS??!! Don't even want to know what pathetic amount they'll offer then. I only have an account with Edgars (that I pay every single month) and they set my limit at R5 500! I've never felt that insulted and even onsidered closing the account immediately. No effort was made to convince me otherwise. So disappointed - ur losing what wouldv been a worthy customer!! |
