HEADLINE	Ginger Mary clothing sold on fleamarket
Hello Peter. I was shocked to find that Ginger Mary merchandise are being sold this past weekend at Muizenberg fleamaket. A dress and top that i paid R880 for in total was sold for R100 each. I made enquiries with the lady that helped me and she said that they have a wider range at their shop. My sister and i popped in at the shop at c/o Voortrekker and Bedford strreet street in Parow and to my disgust they had about 15 different Ginger Mary items all at less than R100. I am very dissapointed to find that normal shops and fleamarkets sell this clothing for that prices, but me as a loyal Truworths customer have to fork out 5 times more to buy it at Canal Walk. I send an e-mail to Truworths using their online contact form, but received no response up to date. Am i entitled to claim a full refund or is that shop authorised to sell it at that price. Add a new Truworths Report Inappropriate report?

Hello betsie1972, Thank you for bringing the incident to our attention. Truworths has a reputation as a premier retailer of internationally inspired fashion and exclusive merchandise of great quality and we take a great deal of pride in our innovative and exclusive brands and merchandise. Despite Truworths' efforts to protect its intellectual property, there are parties who illegally copy the Truworths branded products and designs - this criminal activity of dealing in counterfeit merchandise is on the increase worldwide. We have initiatives in place to combat this illegal activity that is highly successful; however there are still counterfeit goods being sold daily. We trust that this explanation goes some way towards explaining how the merchandise concerned could have looked like a Truworths garment on sale for a lesser price. As we are serious about this nature of complaint we would like the opportunity to contact you to obtain further information. If the retailer is, in our view, selling counterfeit merchandise, we intend to prosecute him/her to the full extent of the law. We appreciate you alerting us to this incident and will act on it immediately. Regards Antonio
