| I have paid my account in full with truworths and still they do not remove my details from ITC. I have spoken to ITC and they agree that Truworths should have wrote a letter long time ago in order to remove my name, but they just don't do it! After numerous phone calls to them and faxing of my proof of payments I still struggle to get my name cleared by Truworths. | |||

Hello jacosmith, Thank you for the opportunity to provide you with feedback regarding your concerns raised in this post. Upon investigating your account, we have established that your account was handed over as a result of payments made not being adequate in bringing the account up to date. We received confirmation that your account has since been settled on the 22 June 2011 and an update of your profile was sent to the credit bureau on the 7 July 2011. The update indicates that your account has been settled and paid in full and a copy of the letter was faxed to you. However, the default listing will only be removed after two years from the date the account was handed over. This is a legal requirement.
