I had explained to Gollie (Telkom) that i currently have ADSL internet at home and asked him many times if i change to wireless could i then have access if i fly to Johannesburg or Cape Town as the only reason i would wnat this is merely for my business. He assured me that i can have wireless access anywhere in the country if i change the line. He told me that i would have to purchase a wifi card for an amount of R249 and the price is R199.00 a month for 24 months. I got the reference number from Gollie to say the ADSL Wirelss line has been activated and to collect the modem - i went to the Telokm Direct shop in the Phoenix Plaza only to be told that they do not have stock. Today i get a call to say pick up the modem. I was under the impression that i am collection a wifi card as promised by Gollie, the guys at the Telkom office was unfriendly, arrogant and unhelpful - so i requested the contract to be cancelled and they told me i will be charged for 2yrs and told me to contact 10219.This is false advertising and misleading of information. I need to use my laptop from city to city and having wirelss just 50meters from my telephone line is not going to help me. HELP!!
