I phoned Telom to get my telephone line moved from my old house to my new house on 15 Dec 2007. Telkom said they didn't have cables there yet, but that it would be instaleld by end Jan 2008. I phoned mid Jan 2008 and they then told me that I would only get my line in April 2008. I phoned in April and was told 28 May. Now when I phoned today, I am told that they estimate 12 June, but this could change. It has therefore taken 6 months for me to try and get a telephone line! They keep on telling me that there is a project running to install cables in my area, but as usual the call centre is clueless as to what is actually going on with the project. I am therefroe left feeling that I have absolutely no idea why thing are taking so long and you only get to interact with people who have no clue.
Surely they have a project manager and a project plan for this project!!! If the project manager cannot keep to the timeline then he shouldn't be managing projects!!
What is wrong with Telom that they have such bad customer service. No where else in the world would you wait 6 months to get a telephone line and there are another 35 people in my complex waiting for the same thing!!
