I live in Gordon's Bay, Western Cape, not in the Kalahari or in the Karoo on a farm millions of miles from anyone or any infrastructure. I actually have a Telkom home telephone line and have been asking Telkom for many years about getting ADSL, but they keep coming back with a pathetic excuse of sorry there is no infrastructure at your exchange, I mean what is that supposed to mean when I already have a telephone line and why is there no infrastructure at my exchange. I live in a built up area and wouldn't it be in Telkom's interest to update the infrastructure at my exchange as I am sure the thousands of people who live around me would also like to have ADSL. I am VERY VERY DISAPOINTED at Telkom's lack of service delivery and unwillingness to make the effort to upgrade my exchange. Come on Telkom pull finger for a change. |
