I AM AM SMME AND HAVE A TELKOM BUSINESS ACCOUNT. MY COMPANY HAS AN ADSL LINE AND TEL LINE. WE REPORTED A "DEAD" TELEPHONE LINE ON THE 26 JANUARY. AFTER 4 TELEPHONE CALLS THE TECHNICIAN PATRICK ARRIVES ON THE 1ST FEB. NO PRIOR NOTIFICATION OR SMS EVEN THOUGH WHEN WE REPORTED THE FAULT WE REQUESTED THIS. PATRICK ARRIVES AT 14H30 ASKS MY HOUSEKEEPER TO SHOW HIM WHERE THE TELEPHONE IS . SHE DULY DOES SO. HE LEABVES WITHIN 5 MINUTES. I CALL 10217 AT 16HOO TO ASK WHY MY LINE IS NOT WORKING AND I AM TOLD " THE TECHNICIAN IS ON SITE" WHICH HE CLEARLY WAS NOT. AT 16H04 I RECEIVE A CALL FROM 011 6221815 FROM PATRICK STATING THAT HE IS THE TELKOM TECHNICIAN AND THAT MY HOUSEKEEPER COULD NOT HELP HIM I ASKED HIM IF HE HAD PICKED UP THE PHONE TO SEE IF THE LINE WAS DEAD AND HE SAID NO AS THE HOUSEKEEPER DID NOT SHOW HIM, THEN HIS STORY CHANGED TO THE FACT THAT WE HAVE "3 POINTS" AND THAT HE DID NOT KNOW WHICH ONE WAS OUT OF ORDER. HE THEN PROCEEDED TO PUT THE PHONE DOWN ON ME I RECALLED THE NUMBER : IT BELONGS TO OLD MUTUAL ( 16H09) I ASK TO SPEAK TO PATRICK AND THERE IS CONFUSION ON THE OTHER END. PHONE IS PUT DOWN ON ME. I RECALL 16H11 AND AM TOLD ITS THE MORTURARY. |
