| My family and I stayed at the Cascades from the 3 - 7 January 2012. We ate at The Orchid one night as we do each time we go to Sun City. My husband and daughter ordered the Tom Yum soup. When they got to eat the prawns they discovered, much to our horror, that they were rotten. Not just off but completely rotten. We spoke to Dave, the Food and Beverage Manager for the Sun City Hotel. He said that they had just received the prawns in stock and had served dozens of prawns so how could ours be rotten. What a bad attitude to have. It was almost as if he did not believe us!! He then said that we must not worry as he would not charge us for the soup!!! I should hope not!!! Who in their right mind would actually pay for rotten soup. He never offered any further compensation i.e. a cup of coffee or dessert!!! This kind of incident does not reflect well on a hotel group like Sun International. It was handled very unprofessionaly and left a bad taste in our mouths in more ways than one!!!! | |||
