15 Dec 2011, my wife lodged a written complaint and to-date have not received any feedback regarding this.

The complaint: We visited the Casino after a show held at the Amphitheater. After the show we went to the new "open" smoking casino area to play. She was hungry and we thought that we could have a sit down meal. We were turned down at the "open" lounge area as it is reserved for Gold and Platinum card holders only. The only facility where we could have something to eat was in the busy Sports bar or have a sandwich at the place where we were playing.
We are only silver card holders and this prohibits us from entering the reserved dining lounges. We asked the shift manager permission to allow us to eat but was declined.

I do not understand how an open lounge, in the open smoking casino area, can be reserved for special gamblers. We are regular visitors and felt that we could be accommodated, without disturbing any persons, to enjoy a meal.

Dear Brandon

I would like to firstly apologise for us not getting back to you earlier. I am in receipt of your correspondence and thank you for giving us feedback. Whist we appreciate that you are a valued customer at the Boardwalk, we however are not in a position to accommodate you in any of the Gold and Platinum card lounges. We have reserved these lounges for the card holders as part of the MVG programme and unfortunately cannot let you access them.

We offer food and beverages on the gaming floor and in the action bar for non Gold and Platinum tiers and the use of the Bayside restaurant when it is open. We trust that you have been invited to the events and functions for Silver Card holders and that you are being recognised as a valued player in this manner.

We look forward to you achieving Gold status and we will warmly welcome you to the lounges. I will be at the Boardwalk through the season and will gladly meet you and have a cup of coffee with you.

Utterly Disgusted: I have had no response from Sun International. This is a clear indication to where their interests ****.
