I booked accommodation with sun international for Sibayo resort for the east weekend but did not receive any confirmation letter so I phoned them on the 2 Feb 2012 and was told that they had cancelled my booking due to non payment, but I have never been notified. They then said the emailed me on the 3 Jan 2012 and the 17Jan 2012 but I did not receive any such e mails, when I asked them to forward proof they said they could not but will send the confirmation report, so I asked them to give me my e mail address and they even had the incorrect provider completely, I have been booking with sun international for a couple of years now and this is the pits, they had my e mail add all along so suddenly its incorrect, besides this I have booked flights for the easter weekend and now they are saying they cant get me anything at all, this is not acceptable and I expect them to sort out the problem I dont really care how, they are incompetent .. |

Hello dalia3, Good afternoon Carol Your reservation 10914968 at Sibaya lodge was cancelled because Sun International did not receive a deposit for the reservation. The process we follow is that we send you an e-mail to inform you that your reservation has been confirmed however the deposit has not been received. The notification would give you time to call us with credit card information or you could choose to pay into our bank account. If we do not hear from you within 48 hours then we cancel the reservation. We are currently reviewing the process to include an SMS notifications in addition to the e-mail so we can be sure we have successfully reached you. Please except my apologies for any inconvenience caused to you. Your reservation has been reinstated and we have sent you confirmation of your reservation to your e-mail address. | Indifferent: after numerous calls and lots of aggravation they insisted that I received my emails and I did not but when I asked them to forward them to me they could not and I think that and Hello Peter is what helped me get my booking reinstated, thanks. all sorted now. | |||
