I have been a Stax customer for 20-odd years. I have been shopping for a particular type of SLR Camera for a while now and had budgeted R7000 for this purchase. I shopped at some of Stax's competitors but always felt that it was worth paying a little extra to get sound advice. A few days ago, I took the plunge and, on the the very professional advice of Randall at Stax, bought the camera I wanted for about R7800...a little over budget but comfortable that I had received good advice. Yesterday, I found one of their competitors had the same item for R2000 less! I felt quite sick! This morning, I called the Manager at Stax Dunkeld, Jacques, and explained that, while they obviously weren't aware of their competitors price, I was really diappointed knowing that I could have bought the item for substantially less elsewhere. I was refunded a fair portion of the difference between that which I had paid and the competitor's adverised price, quickly and painlessly. I would like to thank Jacques and Randall at Stax in Dunkeld for their great customer service and for retaining me as a Stax customer! |
