We bought an Olivia Micro Hi Fi System from the Dunkeld store. Very neat unit: Wall mountable Radio, CD, USB and DVD player all in one. After using it for a while as a radio and music player, I decided to connect it to a screen to play DVD's. I only discovered then that the sound level is very (unusable) low on any DVD. Not a problem. This was in Aug 2011 and the unit was still under warranty. I took it in and they agreed it is a problem and sent it off to the supplier. A while later I got a call from the store informing me that the unit has been repaired and ready for collection. This is where the fun started. The unit did the same. Playing a DVD the video is perfect but the audio is very low. The sales person told me that I bought a peace of "****" what do I expect. They kept the unit and sent it back to the repair centre. I phoned a few times and got reasons like: "The watts that the SABC transmits at is much higher than what is on the DVD" "We've discontinued the product because of the problems" "The unit is now out of guarantee so we can't help you" On collection of the unit I found that the face of the unit is scratched. |

Hi Warren, Its two weeks later and six months (Aug 2011) since I returned the unit to your Dunkeld store. Did you receive any feedback from your supplier? I still only have a scratched DVD player without sound. Regards, Jan |
