Know your Facts

I had purchased a Belkin modem (R500 special price) last year and without fail 14/16 days before expiry it had stopped working. I returned it to Stax Fourways where I was told that the unit had to be returned to Belkin and they will had to provide feedback on the unit. This was never mentioned during the sale, I was told that the unit had a lifetime warranty and that I could return it anytime for an exchange if it was faulty. After a few disagreements Moses agreed to sell me a lower spec device (he mentioned that it was a newer model) and I paid the difference of R500. Only to realize once I got home that the device I had purchased was a 150MB device unlike the device returned which was a 300MB device. I then took it back, and changed it for the same modem I had initially. My question still remains, why has Stax charged me R500 extra for exactly the same modem I had initially? Customers look to experts for advice, Moses could have given me the higher spec device which was going for the exact same price?

Good Morning Joel,

The modem you are talking about was on a promo price for R500 last year, when the promo finished it reverted back to its normal price of R1000. However as a sign of goodwill please come into the store and I will give you back the difference you have just paid in.

I would like to apologise for any confusion and hope to see you back in our store soon.
