On 25 January 2012 at 10:29, I requested a temporary overdraft increase on my company's business account via email to the Standard Bank, as I had done before during the 4 years that our company has conducted its account at the Bedford Gardens branch. We have a R10000.00 overdraft limit, and I requested to increase this to R19000.00 until 22/2/2012. On 27 January 2012 at 09:56, I was informed by Nishrev Sing that he was not my business banker, and he asked his colleague, Tsakani Ntuli to deal with my request. I have contacted her on 3 occasions now, and after 17 days "she is awaiting feedback from the Credit Division". As a Standard Bank customer of 31 years, this is absolutely shockingly unprofessional conduct, and while I have made alternate plans in the meanwhile, because I have a business to run... I am just appalled at this distasteful behaviour. During the last 12 months, my company has run almost R2m though it's banking account. If this is the way loyal customers are treated, then it's obviously time to move to another bank, SOON! Clearly Standard Bank has too many customers...and they can afford to lose some of their customers. |
