| HEADLINE | Retrenchment Claim falls on deaf ears. |
||
| I have been trying to inform Standard Bank that I have been retrenched and that I will not be able to cover my payments as per normal. They have a retrenchment insurance clause which they claim is only in effect after 3 months of taking out the loan. I was retrenched 1 month after taking out the loan. I have filled out their retrenchment claim form and NO ONE has gotten back to me about any of this. The only response I get from them is smses telling me I am due for a payment and I must pay it as soon as possible. Being retrenched is stressful enough without having to worry about the dozens of clauses you made me sign on a contract that was explained to me in under a minute! Someone at Standard Bank please check your fax machines for my forms, then pick up the **** phone and call me! | |||

| Not Impressed: Okay apparently my claim was denied for reasons not explained to me BEFORE I TOOK OUT THE LOAN. Not only that but no alternatives was given to me. So here is a little problem I would like you to solve: Income = R0 p/m, and since claim was rejected I owe R612 per month, plus the R53 FOR THE INSURANCE THAT WAS DENIED TO ME = R665 so that would make the problem: R0 - R665 = -R655 p/m. What I am desperately trying to say, WHAT DO I DO NOW? | |||
