On the 15th October 2011 at 04h32 I withdrew R500.00 from a Standard Bank Auto teller in Fochville. This trace number is 004672131162. The money was processed but as I was about to take the money out from the slot where it comes from it was retrieved back into the machine. With that I proceeded to withdraw another R500.00 at 04h34 trace number is 004672131354, and this time the money was issued. However, when I checked my cash withdrawal slips, it had deducted R500.00 twice but only issued it once. As I work nightshift, I had to wait to report this to my bank, Absa and duly filled in a Log and complaint form, reference number 1492251. Absa customer service told me that it takes about 3 months for this problem to be solved, but have never had an answer from them. On the 8th December 2011 I emailed Absa's Action Line to find out about this query and received a call from them but no follow up. The chap that did phone me said he would follow it up with Standard Bank and ask for an audit report but hve not heard from him. I would like this money back as I did not get it yet.
