| I purchased a vehicle on 09/01/2012. My first payment was due on the 20/01/2011. On Saturday, 21/01/2012, i received a call from Standard Bank mentioning that my account overdraft has reached its limit. Standard VAF, made a mistake by making the contract date for 2011 instead of 2012. I don't normally keep much money in my current account as i have a savings account. They deducted the VAF amount 11 times, they then deducted a R240 as honoring fee. I logged a call with the bank on 21/01/2011. The issue has not been resolved yet. Yesterday i got a sms stating that i need to call the bank credit department. They told me my credit scoring will be negatively affected and that the scoring is system driven. The mistake, however small, is having a serious impact on me. I have to chase the bank up, instead of them calling me keeping me in the loop. I now have to make sure that my credit scoring, bank fees, overdraft payment and account balance is restored. I am at the point of changing banks due to this. Its shocking that a car can be bought in 2012 and the system allows them to loaded as 2011. Are there no controls and checks in place? I am the one suffering for their negligence. | |||
