What a mission to change your address at a Standard Bank Branch!!!! My sister banks with them and needs to change her address because she now resides with me, so I give her a sworn affidavit stating that she lives with me, my I.D book and a statement I get emailed to me from the agents I rent from proving where I live. I use my P.O.Box for my mail, hence nothing comes to my home. So off she goes to Standard Bank in Southgate with these documents after I had confirmed with the contact centre that the above mentioned documents were in order and they didn't require anything further. Lets bear in mind I work in the banking sector so I have sound understanding of KYC and FICA. Zanele and her team leader refused to help her because my statement from my landlord is printed - Do these people live in the dark ages? All documents, even if they are physically mailed ARE PRINTED. I have no alternative proof of address in my name and I can't see why this would not suffice. I used exactly the same proof of residence to open my account with FNB and they accepted it? I'd like to think the same FICA legislation applies to all banking institutions? Appalling "service" if that's what you call it!

Quite Impressed: After I was contacted by Mr Pillay, the matter was swiftly resolved and the respective staff members addressed regarding the matter. I was contacted by the branch who has now put the necessary measures in place to service their client.
