I am from Hennenman in the Freestate on holiday in Durban and went dinning with friends at the Spur on the Bluff. Ordered what was the main reason for our choice of restaurant and was terribly disappointed. 3 out of the 4 portions were old soggy nachos. When reporting it to the manager JJ he returned to us saying he investigated and found the expiry dates to be 2014. We ordered half portions and know from experience that they only buy full portion packs and divide those packs in half for the half portions. Our pack were probably open for some time and therefore old. The way the complaint was handled still left me disgruntled and dissatisfied, will ot support Spur Bluff or recommend anyone to ever eat there. Besides this incident there was also a unprofessional incident in the kitchen where our waitress and JJ had a fall out in open sight and we could hear the screaming as well. The fall out was about the waitress not being able to cope with her tables. I love Spur but this branch seriously brings the name and quality of what we expect and normally receive in question. |

Hello hans_cellc, Thank you for sharing your experience with us! The operator of Grand Rapids Spur has taken the liberty of speaking to the gentleman that was with you during this visit as he is a regular visitor to this Spur. Your comment will definitely be investigated with all concerned as soggy nachos is not acceptable. This would mean that the cottage cheese was left on the nachos for too long as this would make the product go soggy. As for the conflict with the waitress, we always say that staff should be complimented in public and reprimanded in private. | Over the Moon: Very impressed with the feedback, one of the few calls where I felt that something was actually being done.
