There is a refund that's due to me that SARS is has not paid me back since last year. when i called Sars to enquire about this i was told that they had the wrong banking details and that i needed to go to a Sars bank to update the banking details. On the 15th of Dec i went into the Sars branch in Cap eTown city central to update my banking dretails and i was told that the money would be paid into my account within 21 working days.Today marks day 25 and still the money has not been paid into my account and i have not heard from SARS since. This is unacceptable especially because when i owed them returns from years 2008 and 2009 i kept on getting letters from them every week and they penalised me each month until i submitted those returns, so now that they have to pay me a refund they are taking forever.... this is just appauling! |
