During the efiling session for 2011 I was chosen to be audited since I moved money from my pension fund to my preservation fund and SARS only received one of the IRP5's for that move. They apparently sent two registered letters upon which time I have 21 days to submit the supporting documents. I have never received the letters, which should be clear since I never signed for them - what is the point of registered letters if you can't ascertain that much!I received a call last week saying I need to submit supporting documents and now only had 7 days to submit! I have gotten the documents & uploaded yesterday. Whilst uploading the SARS website had an error. I have tried to get in subsequently and I get a "Please make sure you have entered the correct user name and password". I contacted the call centre several times yesterday to find out eventually that my account has been deactivated. The call centre agent reactivated it. I called this morning and it now looks like I have never been registered?? I now have to waste work hours to drive through to SARS and wait to be helped.
