Incompetency

I was requested to update banking details. Not sure why. Went in to branch this morning, discovered that the only reason was because my account type had changed to a cheque account - 4 years ago(but they had previously made refunds)
I tried to update details, but was told I need a rates account or lease ( if renting). I did not have the original request from SARS with me, which I now see does not specify that rates or lease is required, only ,I quote: "Original proof of residential address, for example a municipal account..... " I now have to go back and stand in a queue again.....
