I want to pay tax but cannot |
I have been requested by SARS to re-apply for a tax number. I went to SARS on the 25th of October 2011. I was allocated to Dunstan Ndlovu's desk. I tried to engage in discussion with him to find out what the process was from there onwards. He did not engage, he looked dis-interested and I thought, o boy, here comes a bad experience. He said I must phone in 10 days to get my new number. It is now the 15th Of December, I have missed the tax subission deadline, made about 10 calls to the call centre with reference numbers, have bee back to SARS Randburg to check what is going on, submitted e-mails. I am still where I was on the 25th of October. No tax number. SO, SARS, you either need to start helping me, or I will (cannot) unable not be able to submit my taxes. I have been sent from pillar to post. I beg of you SARS, PLEASE, I just want to pay my tax. How difficult can it be.
