My husband submitted his efilling in September. SARS said he needed to varify his banking details which we then did in person. The staff took the certified copies of everything and told us that everything was in order and the money should take 5 days to be paid in. Two weeks later we still had no payment. We called and were told that it takes 21 working days to varify the bank details and then 30 working days to pay. 30 working days later we called and were told that everything was on track and we should receive the money shortly. Today we phoned again because they money has still not been paid and they said that the certified copy of his passport was unreadable. Needless to say this is not the case otherwise the police would not have certified it. Also the staff who originally took the documentation said that they were happy with all the paperwork. On top of all this no one even bothered to tell us. There has been 0 communication from SARS. Funny that they are very quick to take your money but seem to find it very hard to pay anything that is rightfully owed to you. Disgusting service - the goverment should be ashamed. |
