| We have not owned a TV for the last 16 years. The SABC keep on pestering us to settle our account. We informed them at the time 16 years ago that our TVs broke down, and that we do not want another TV. Now they bother us about once every 2 years for arrears payment. Unfortunately we do not have the paperwork any more after all this time. we keep telling them that we do not own a TV, nor do we want one. My husband asked them the last time to inform the SABC that they must produce proof that we bought any TV in the last 16 years. We heard nothing from them for about 2 years. Now a firm by the name of only MMT sent us an sms with a contact number, 0873535029. When you phone the number, it does not work. according to them our TV license nr is 120 79 2221, and the refernce nr is D000 87867. Why must we pay for something we just simply do not have? The sms was sent from this number: +2782007229169194. What are we to do to solve this annoying matter? We are so fed up with them not understanding that people can live without a TV, out of free will. Please help us if you can. | |||
