On 22/01/2012 on flight SA 551 from Johannesburg to Durban my privacy was violated. A staff member handling the luggage broke the zipper of my luggage (luggage tag number 510479) to ***** some of my jewellery and make-up out of my vanity bag. I am appalled that there are no guarantee on the safety of luggage. I am aware that Article 9.4.3 says that SAA will not be held liable for any loss or damage of any valuables in checked in luggage but honestly no one has the right to open my luggage and take what they want and be protected by the company!! This is just beyond me!! This is not my first time complaining about this, about 2 years ago a similar incident on the same route happened. I emailed customer services and have since not even received as much as notification of the complaint being investigated! Truth be told, I will not choose SAA for personal travel....the only reason why I am travelling on SAA at all is because I have to do so for business travel! |
