In March 2011 I cashed my voyager miles in for a Spa Silver Award. Since then my wife has unsuccessfully been trying to redeem this award. However, each time she was told that the voucher could not be processed as the award was either suspended or not authorised. I would then contact SAA Voyager and they would assure me that they would resolve the matter immediately, only to have to repeat the process when next the voucher was submitted. Finally in about October/November last year my wife was informed that she needed a Withdrawal Number, a Stock Control Number, an Award Code, a Voyager Number and a Reversal Number. I forgot about the matter and only decided to act today when I came across a reminder note when cleaning out my briefcase. Upon contacting SAA Voyager I was told that the award expired at the end of June 2011, and as such they were not interested in my problem. This, not withstanding the fact that my wife first tried to claim the award in March last year, and has been trying to dos so on and off since then. Needless to say I will pay up my SA Voyager linked credit card (Nedbank) and then close my account. |
